These courses are designed to provide the necessary knowledge about electrical, hydraulic, air, and mechanical systems on LeTourneau mining machines. Technicians attending factory courses are
given the opportunity to practice hands-on troubleshooting procedures, as well as routine maintenance tasks on full size propulsion and LINCS® simulators. This training is implemented on-site at the
LeTourneau Factory Training Facility located in Longview, Texas.
Electrical / Electronics
This course will be geared toward the electrician and will cover the areas required to repair and maintain the electrical and propulsion systems of a LeTourneau front-end loader or dozer.
Areas to be covered include LINCS® theory, navigation, and controls, CAN (Controller Area Network) theory and topology, LeTourneau schematics and Interconnection wiring diagrams, SCR or SR motor control and high voltage components. These topics are covered in a classroom environment and then reinforced with hands on simulator exercises in a controlled lab environment.
Hydraulics / Air Systems / Mechanical
This course is geared toward the mechanic and will cover areas required to maintain and repair the mechanical and hydraulic systems of the LeTourneau front-end loader or dozer.
Areas to be covered include LINCS® theory, navigation, and controls as it is related to the hydraulic and mechanical systems of the machine. This course also covers machine schematics to the 24VDC level,
LINCS® over hydraulic control circuits, hydraulic components and circuits, machine cooling systems, and air systems.
Our Factory Training Facility, located in Longview, Texas, is a state of the art training center complete with digital projection, touch screen whiteboards, and a recently expanded lab area.
This lab area includes a working LeTourneau Electric Powered Propulsion System for several types of equipment. The facility also offers a board-mounted hydraulic system simulator, and a digital LINCS® training system.
