More than 50 years ago, LeTourneau Technologies™ Offshore Products launched the world’s first mobile offshore jack-up rig, christened The Scorpion.

It was the result of a vision carried out by LeTourneau founder and well-known inventor R.G. LeTourneau, and was bought by Zapata Off-Shore Company, whose president was none other than George H.W. Bush, our country’s 41st President.
